La Soupe Launches Ohio Expansion With La Soupe Kitchen Network

La Soupe is excited to announce the launch of the La Soupe Kitchen Network (LSKN), with Dayton, Ohio's Miami Valley Meals (MVM) becoming the Network's first member. This innovative chef-driven effort will change how we feed people in Ohio; a state with one of the highest percentages of food insecure households.

In 2021, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visited La Soupe, noted their innovative approach to food waste, and saw the potential for replicating La Soupe's model.

“The La Soupe Kitchen Network will change how we address the critical issues of food waste and food insecurity in our state. The collaboration of kitchens has the potential to reach every city in Ohio,”

- Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine

LSKN is an alliance of kitchens committed to La Soupe's chef-based model: Rescue, Transform, Share. La Soupe will mentor members while sharing knowledge, best practices, and resources. La Soupe Founder Suzy DeYoung is thrilled to welcome MVM as an LSKN member, noting their strong reputation for producing nutritious meals for the food insecure. "Their dedicated associates and volunteers will strengthen our Network and support our joint mission to feed vulnerable Ohioans," said DeYoung.
